1. Introduction

RIPPLES MUSIC INDUSTRIES LTD ("we," "our," or "the Company") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use the RIPPLES Tap desktop application, and purchase our digital products.

2. Data we collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering on the Site or making a purchase, including:

  • Identification data: name and email address.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage data (via cookies).
  • Account data: if you sign in to your customer account, we hold your email address, your display name, and a record of what you have purchased, so that your products appear on your account page and inside RIPPLES Tap.
  • Reviews: if you post a product review, the name you give and the text you write are published publicly on that product page. Your email address is not published.
  • Support requests: if you contact technical support, we keep your message, your email address, and any file you attach, for as long as needed to resolve the issue.
  • Minors: we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If we discover such data has been collected, it will be deleted immediately.

3. How we use your information

In accordance with your requirements and the law:

  • Operation & fulfillment: we use your details solely to operate the Site, provide technical support, and fulfil your purchase (delivering digital links).
  • Transaction support: to enable completion of the purchase process through our payment processors.
  • Marketing: if you have provided explicit consent (opt-in), we may send you newsletters about new products. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Commitment: RIPPLES MUSIC INDUSTRIES LTD commits not to make any use of customer details registered on the Site other than for operating the Site and executing the purchase.

4. Data security and retention

  • Security measures: the Site employs standard security precautions and encryption to maintain the confidentiality and safety of your information as much as possible.
  • Payment security: payment processing is handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC). RIPPLES MUSIC INDUSTRIES LTD does not store your credit card information on its servers.
  • Retention: we retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our services and for legal or tax purposes.

5. The RIPPLES Tap desktop application

RIPPLES Tap, previously called RIPPLES Hub, is the application that installs, updates and activates your plugins. It handles data differently from the website, so we set it out separately.

  • Usage data is anonymous. RIPPLES Tap reports events such as an install succeeding or failing, so that we can tell whether our software works. Each report carries a randomly generated identifier created on your own machine, the event name, the plugin and version involved, your platform and operating system version. It does not carry your name, your email address, or your computer's name, and it cannot be linked back to you by us.
  • Signing in. If you sign in to your RIPPLES account from RIPPLES Tap, we receive your email address and your computer's hostname. The hostname is kept only so that you can recognise your own machines, and is never used to grant or restrict access.
  • Licence activation. Activating a licence registers that activation with Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, using your computer's hostname and a random identifier as the label for that machine. This is how a licence knows which computers it is running on, and how releasing a machine frees a slot.
  • Stored on your machine. Your licence details are held in a file on your own computer so that your plugins keep working offline. RIPPLES Tap checks periodically that a licence is still valid and whether a newer version exists.
  • Uninstalling. Removing a plugin through RIPPLES Tap deletes the software. Your presets and your licence file are left alone.

6. Third-party disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties, except for trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. These currently include our payment and licensing provider (Lemon Squeezy), our email delivery provider, our hosting and content delivery providers, and the analytics providers named below.

7. Cookies and tracking

  • Consent first. Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel load only after you accept cookies. Decline, and neither is loaded at all.
  • Our own analytics. We run a first-party, cookieless analytics tracker that records page views and basic interactions. It stores a random visitor identifier in your browser, collects no personal information, and respects your browser's Do Not Track setting, switching itself off entirely when it is enabled.
  • Your control. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not function properly.

8. Your rights (GDPR & international)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to request the correction or deletion of your data.
  • The right to withdraw consent for marketing communications.

To exercise these rights, including deleting your customer account, please contact us at [email protected] and we will action it. Every marketing email we send also carries a one-click unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately and without contacting us.
